The 2026 Palo Duro Canyon Photography Contest invites photographers to capture the canyon through their lens. Entries are accepted in four categories: wildlife, plants, landscape, and people.
The Partners in Palo Duro Canyon Foundation invites photographers to share their view of Palo Duro Canyon State Park through the 2026 Photography Contest. Photographers of all experience levels are welcome to participate by submitting images that capture the canyon’s landscapes, wildlife, plants, and people enjoying the park. Selected
photographs will be recognized during the public judging event and awards presentation at Palo Duro Canyon State Park.
Photographers may submit entries in four categories: Wildlife, Plants, Landscape, and People, with a limit of one photograph per category per photographer. Prints must be 8×10, unmounted and unframed, and each submission must also include a digital copy on a thumb drive. Photos must have been taken in Palo Duro Canyon State Park, be no more than two years old, must not have won a previous Palo Duro Canyon photo contest, and may not display any watermark, title, or identifying information on the front of the image.
