Partners In Palo Duro Canyon Foundation
Volunteers Program
Partners In Palo Duro Canyon is an educational and charitable support group for Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Through recruitment and organization of volunteers, finances and resources, Partners in Palo Duro Canyon Foundation enhances the educational, interpretive and recreational opportunities of the Park.
Volunteers are an essential key to our success at the Canyon Gallery/Visitors Center in Palo Duro Canyon. Without volunteers, we could not meet the goals that we have nor could we accommodate, meet and greet all visitors who come to our park. Not only do volunteers have the opportunity to meet some very unique individuals, we also to get to know our great park staff. Often times, there are educational programs held inside the Visitor’s Center that provide opporturnity to for our volunteers to listen in and learn something new about our beautiful State Park.
Our volunteers sign up to work 4 hour shifts (either 9:00 am to 1:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm) Monday through Saturday and Sundays (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm). There are experienced individuals and training videos that will help you get up to speed with appropriate information as well as the history of our store and our park.
Each volunteer receives credit for hours worked and a gift card at the end of each fiscal year for those hours. The gift card is for purchases in the Canyon Gallery gift shop. Volunteers also receive a 20% discount off of one item purchased in the store.
Unique, educational, opportunistic, and adventurous are just a few of the words we use to describe the wonderful experience you will find in volunteering with Partners In Palo Duro Canyon Foundation.
Let us help you explore a new and adventurous journey!
