A COMMUNITY FOR THE CANYON

Two volunteer opportunities are available for those who want to support Palo Duro Canyon. You can volunteer at the Canyon Gallery and Visitor Center through Partners in Palo Duro Canyon Foundation or volunteer directly with Texas Parks and Wildlife on projects that support the park and its natural resources.

Partners in Palo Duro Canyon Foundation is an educational and charitable organization dedicated to supporting Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Through the recruitment and coordination of volunteers, along with financial support and resources, the Foundation helps enhance the park’s educational, interpretive, and recreational opportunities for visitors from around the world.

CANYON GALLERY & VISITOR CENTER

Volunteers play an essential role in the success of the Canyon Gallery and Visitor Center. They help welcome guests, answer questions, and ensure visitors feel at home as they begin their exploration of the canyon. Without the dedication of volunteers, it would be difficult to provide the level of hospitality and assistance that so many visitors enjoy.

Volunteering at the canyon is also a rewarding and educational experience. Volunteers have the opportunity to meet visitors from many different places, connect with park staff, and learn more about the history, wildlife, and natural beauty of Palo Duro Canyon.

Volunteers receive credit for the hours they work throughout the year. At the end of each fiscal year, volunteers are awarded a gift card to the Canyon Gallery gift shop based on their service hours. In addition, volunteers receive a 20% discount on one item purchased in the store. If you enjoy meeting people, learning about the canyon, and contributing to a place that inspires so many visitors, we invite you to join us.
