CCC Trail Hike

Join park staff and interns from the Center for the Study of the American West (CSAW) for this moderate 1.5 mile hike. Learn about the Civilian Conservation Corps who built Palo Duro Canyon State Park as well as the interesting research the interns have conducted recently.
Prepare: Dress for the weather, wear good hiking shoes, and bring water to drink. This hike is on moderately difficult terrain, and will cover about 1.5 miles distance. A van will be stationed at the midway point, offering hikers an opportunity to hike a little under a mile if they choose.
Meet: At the Scenic Overlook parking lot, 3/4 of a mile inside the park entrance and next to the Visitor Center.
Fees: Regular park entrance fees – $8 per adult, kids 12 and under are free. No charge for this program.
